Cards or Wheel – Looking At 2 Casino Classics

When it comes to the world of online casino games, thanks to modern technology, there are thousands of games to choose from, including two casino classics – Roulette and Blackjack.

Both Roulette and Blackjack have been unofficially awarded the title of ‘casino classic’ by many players worldwide, for many decades. So, with this in mind, we wanted to explore both games to look at why they are both loved.

If you’re ready to discover more about these two classic games and potentially explore their live casino versions, carry on reading.

    Cards – Blackjack

Blackjack, also known as 21, is a popular card game played in casinos worldwide. It requires players to make decisions based on their hand and the dealer’s up-card.

The objective of every game is to have a hand value closer to 21 than the dealers, without exceeding it – known as going “bust”.

Each card has a point value, and the numbered cards are worth their face value, face cards (King, Queen, Jack) are worth 10, and the Ace can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on what benefits the player.

To play, the dealer deals two cards to each player, including themselves. Players can choose to “hit” and receive additional cards or “stand” and keep their current hand. The goal is to build a hand with a total value closer to 21 than the dealer’s hand. If the player’s hand exceeds 21, they “bust” and lose the round. The dealer must follow specific rules, usually hitting until their hand reaches a certain value, typically 17 or higher.

The game’s simplicity and potential for strategic play have made it a casino favorite for many players, but it’s important to remember that none of these points can guarantee success in a chance-based game.

    Wheel – Roulette

Roulette is a popular casino game of chance that involves a spinning wheel with numbered pockets and a small ball.

Players place bets on where they believe the ball will land when the wheel comes to a stop.

Offering various betting options, each with different odds and payouts, players can make multiple bets in a single round.

These can include betting on a specific number, a range of numbers, colors (red or black), and odd or even numbers – but there is a range of other options to choose from.

After all bets are placed, the dealer spins the wheel and releases the ball in the opposite direction. The winning bet is determined by the pocket in which the ball randomly finishes settling in.

    Cards or Wheel?

The ultimate casino game choice isn’t down to us to decide, but each player chooses to either spin the wheel or be dealt a hand of cards.

Every player may have their own personal favorite out of the two, but neither player that opts to play one over the other is wrong, as these games were designed to be enjoyed and played by all.

So, which is your go-to game – Blackjack or Roulette?
