Horse and greyhound racing continues to be popular around the globe. That means there is a strong audience out there to watch the sports. Sports Information Services (SIS) have been busy signing new deals that will see their products available in other countries.
One recent partnership that has been formed is with the B2B iGaming company Betbazar. The horse racing and greyhound racing coverage that SIS provide will now be available on Betbazar’s online platform.
It’s a deal that is good news for both of the companies involved. SIS continues their global expansion, while Betbazar see their online product receive a major boost.
The COO of Betbazar is Max Sevostianov who is delighted at seeing the addition of SIS coverage to their portfolio. He said that the deal is part of their strategy of “expanding our portfolio with the industry’s most “in demand” providers.”
This has the aim of giving their customers “access to the most dynamic sports betting and casino content in the market.” Mr Sevostianov says he is looking forward to “what we hope will be a very long and successful relationship.”
Andy Kelly is Head of Commercial Partnerships at SIS and is delighted with the Betbazar deal. Particularly as the company is determined to be “delivering best-in-class content and solutions,” something that has been recognized by their new partners.
It’s an important time for SIS who in April announced that they will have updated coverage of greyhound racing from May 20. It’s hoped that the deal with Premier Greyhound Racing (PGR) will help protect the future of the sport in the UK.
The new schedule will see morning and evening fixtures starting slightly later. It’s believed this will improve operations trackside and help customers in betting shops as they try to deal with the ever-busy racing schedules.
The Managing Director of SIS is Paul Witten who says they are “passionate” about giving customers a UK and Ireland greyhound racing service “that benefits all of the sports’s stakeholders.” He added that their approach to the sport is “grounded in sustainability and flexibility.”
SIS already has long-term agreements with some of the top and new bookmakers in the UK and Ireland. These include William Hill, Paddy Power, bet365 and Betfred. This is for both the betting shops and those using online websites hopefully using wi-fi that is totally safe.i
The company has also extended its agreement with Spain’s Asociación de Hipódromos Españoles in Spain.
This will see over 500 Spanish horse races being shown live. The long-term deal will see races covered from six of Spain’s top racetracks. Customers will be able to try to back winners at Dos Hermanas, San Sebastian, Sanlucar, Son Pardo Y Manacor, Pineda and Hipódromo de La Zarzuela.
The coverage will include top races such as the Gran Premio de Madrid and the San Sebastian Gold Cup. There will be 90-meetings covered in each calendar year. Over 35,000 horse races are shown on SIS each year and recently coverage of top races from Poland and Korea has been added to their growing content list.
The Head of Racing at SIS is Connall McSorley who says that the Spanish horse racing market “is very important” to the company. It’s been an “integral part” of their live horse racing and has “grown in quality” in recent years.
Also delighted with the extension of the agreement is Rafael Marquez Ojea who is the President of the Asociación de Hipódromos Españoles. The coverage began five years ago and SIS are considered to be “an invaluable partner” in allowing new audiences to see Spanish horse racing.
Extending the deal made “strategic sense” as they look to expand their business in other countries.
It’s not just in Europe that SIS is forging new partnerships. SIS is also making their debut in the Dominican Republic thanks to a deal with Mi Quinte RD.
This will see the second-largest nation in the Caribbean now being able to watch the top racing from over 170 courses in Ireland, Latin America and the USA plus other top international meetings.
There’ll also be greyhound racing from the UK, Ireland and Mexico. Mi Quinte RD operates both online and in betting shops around the Dominican Republic.
Signing such deals is important for Mi Quinte RD and their Marketing Manager Lisbeth Mora is pleased this partnership with SIS has been signed. The Marketing Manager believes it is an “important step in enhancing” their content portfolio.
The Commercial Executive for Latin America at SIS is Oscar Murueta González. He believes this deal “has established a new foothold in the Dominican Republic” for SIS.
