The prospect of killing Jad can be daunting, but here is what you’ll need to come out victorious.

The prospect of killing TzTok-Jad, often abbreviated to simply Jad, is something that many players consider to get their hands on the Fire Cape in OSRS. If you are fresh to the game, then odds are that you are going to struggle with this particular boss. That being said, we are going to be taking a look at what requirements you need to look into and what technique to use in order to kill Jad.

Recommendations

As part of the TzHaar Fight Cave minigame, this is a tough boss to contend with. At least, however, you won’t have to worry about losing OSRS gold or items if you do get killed. To reach the relevant area, go over to the TzHaar Fight Pit teleport to get to the entrance quicker.

For your stats, have your Ranged, Defence, and Hitpoints up to at least 70. Your Prayer meanwhile should be at around 43. If you can get your Ranged to over 75, then you can use the Toxic Blowpipe which is incredibly effective in here. The OSRS Twisted Bow is also very useful in this battle.

Along with these weapons, you should try and get Blessed Dragonhide Body and Chaps, along with a Blessed Coif and an Amulet of Fury. With Blessed Boots, Barrows Gloves, a God Blessing, and an Archers Ring, you should be able to make your way through the Fight Cave without too many issues coming your way. If you do have the Toxic Blowpipe, then use Adamant Darts with them.

The gear that you get will depend of course on the OSRS GP budget that you have. You may be considering having to buy OSRS gold but you shouldn’t have to if you can find cheaper alternatives. With that in mind, don’t worry about searching for OSRS gold for sale, since you could use the cheaper gear.

These alternatives include the use of Black Dragonhide Body and Chaps, as well as a Combat Bracelet, Snakeskin Boots, Amulet of Glory, and a Rune Crossbow. If you are on a budget, then these options will work just fine.

Jad Killing Method

So once you have scrapped your way through the fight caves to reach TzTok-Jad, you will notice that he has the ability to use all of the attack styles. Keep your distance with this in mind, so that he is unable to hit you with a melee attack. He will also operate in a way in which he will switch between Magic and Ranged offensive, so it does mean that you will need to keep switching the protection prayers that you have to coincide with how he is attacking you.

You will notice that his movement differs when Range is being used, so you should be able to get a good idea of how he moves when he’s using this approach and Magic. With Ranged, Jad will raise his legs in the air quickly, whilst Magic will be a much slower movement. Now that you know what the movements are to be expected, you should be able to counter them with ease.

Once you have gotten Jad down to half health, he will summon four healers to restore his health. Your job now is to make sure that you are preventing them from doing so, which you can do by using your OSRS weapon such as the rate Twisted bow to lure them away. Avoid their Melee and kill them off whilst not losing focus of Jad and his movements so you can still counter him. Keep up this method and you should be rid of Jad in no time.

So you now know the method and recommended gear to get you through to Jad and overcome him as well. That being said, it is worth mentioning that the Fight Cave should not be taken lightly. After all, it is considered by many to be one of the toughest minigames in the entire game. The skill levels and your equipment will play a massive part here, so keep that in mind before you attempt to go after Jad. As long as you are well prepared and you are willing to part with some OSRS gold in order to get the gear that you need to survive, then you shouldn’t have too much to worry about. As intimidating as Jad may look, once you have his attack techniques down enough so that you can counter them, you will be moving on to get the Fire Cape in no time.
