I am usually skeptical about celebrity endorsements. Like when Ashton Kutcher was unveiled as a Product Engineer for Lenovo. I mean, seriously? So when I was doing some research to find a project management software that would be ideal for my business, I stumbled upon a YouTube page where Redfoo from LMFAO was enthusiastically endorsing a project management and collaboration tool. At first, I took his endorsement with a grain of salt, but his seemingly honest testament made me check out Wrike – and I am so glad that I did!
Wrike is an online collaboration tool that is geared towards how modern business teams run. Not only is it being used by agile start-ups, but is also the weapon of choice for large scale corporations like MTV, AT&T, PayPal, etc. Wrike consists of software that runs on the browser, a Google Chrome extension and a Mobile App, and allows me to stay on top of my business!
Why I Recommend It?
Redfoo says, ‘There is an art to getting things done and keeping it fun’ and I couldn’t agree more. Here is a brief overview of some of Wrike’s awesome features:
Quick and pain free sign up and implementation process
All you have to do is go to the homepage and type in your business email. Wrike sends you a link, you click on it, enter a password, and you are ready to start your free trial! It immediately allows you to invite your team members by entering their names and email addresses. I was ready to start my trial in less than 10 minutes!
Wrike scales to your needs
You can make Wrike as compact or as comprehensive as your business requires. The easiest way to get an idea of all their basic, intermediate, and advanced features would be to spend some time on their YouTube page!
Gen Y collaboration features
Emails can get overwhelming at times. Wrike looks for ways to unclutter your inbox. If anyone has an idea, they pitch it to the relevant people on the team using Wrike. The transition from an abstract concept to an actionable strategy is achieved within hours instead of days with Wrike’s state of the art collaboration features. I can see what my individual team members are working on and can also adjust the priorities for their individual tasks. Delegation of responsibilities is achieved with just a few simple clicks! Irrespective of whether your team members are across the room or in a different continent, synergizing everyone’s efforts has never been easier!
When you log into Wrike for the first time, it defaults to a tutorial mode to show you how it works. Wrike’s user interface is fairly intuitive, so this step is not always necessary. However, you can reference the tutorial whenever you need some additional help and their video library is a virtual treasure trove. Just in case you still need some additional help, their friendly and helpful customer service representatives are always available to answer your questions over the phone or via a live chat feature!
A comprehensive mobile app
Unlike other apps that accompany enterprise software, the mobile app isn’t just a supplementary feature. Whether you use the Android or the iOS app, it has all the features that are available on the browser. So you can check up on your team irrespective of where you are or what time of the day it is! In the past, I’ve had horrible experiences with applications that are really heavy on functionality because they tend to typically use a lot of my phone’s resources; making it slow and sometimes causing my device to crash. Wrike’s app is incredibly light and utilizes almost a very small amount of resources on my device!
An amazing Google Chrome extension
I’ve never been able to use the Google chrome extension in a project management tool. But now that I have discovered and utilized Wrike’s chrome extension, I cannot help but wonder how I have ever lived without it! See a feature on a competitor’s website that you need to replicate? Or found an ideal spot to hold your next team building exercise? As soon as you find the inspiration that you seek from the internet, delegate the task to the relevant team members with just a couple of clicks!
If you are in the market for project management tools, look no further than Wrike. Trust me, you will not regret it!
