How to Transfer Music from iPhone to Computer with FonePaw iOS Transfer
Apple has made their iOS and Mac environment so tight that you can’t do anything significant of your choice like transfer of files, data, music, images, videos without a software or product made by Apple, specially iTunes.
iTunes comes with many restrictions like one can move music into iTunes but a song purchased on iTunes cannot be moved out to others devices on Android phones. There is a need of third party utilities as an iTunes alternative for transferring files between iOS devices and a PC.
Although there are quite a few out there, but FonePaw iOS Transfer has been the easiest to use because of its user interface.
FonePaw iOS Transfer
Suppose you just bought Taylor Swift’s latest album on your iPhone and need to transfer it to your PC, without syncing your iPhone to iTunes on computer, which is usually very slow and cannot be played using other media players, FonePaw’s file transfer software will come to the rescue.
Apple lets you sync music from your PC or Mac to iPhone, but if you have tried, you cannot do the same from iPhone to your computer or Mac even using iTunes.
So how do we transfer music from iPhone to computer using FonePaw iOS Transfer?
Follow the easy 5-minute step-by-step guide below:
Step 1: Connect your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to Mac/PC
Once you have downloaded the FonePaw iOS Transfer software from FonePaw’s website, install and launch it.
Connect your iPhone to computer and allow the software to detect it. You will see your iPhone’s name on the screen.
Note: You will be required to install latest version of iTunes.
Step 2: In the left sidebar of software, you can see your device model. Click on the dropdown arrow to see various types of files you can transfer. Choose Media if you want to transfer songs and videos from iPhone to a computer. You can see a list of songs you have in your iPhone.
Step 3: Select the songs you want to transfer to your PC by ticking them. The best thing about this software is, if you ever try to open the root files of iPhone, the file names are written in Raw format and thus you cannot determine which song or video it is. FonePaw does a great job in decrypting them and displaying the file name.
Step 4: Once you have selected the music files, click on Export to located in the top bar of software. You will get 2 options – Export to PC and Export to iTunes Library. It is your choice here but we recommend exporting to PC. Because, you can add it to iTunes library later. Click on the desired option.
Step 5: That is it. You can now enjoy your purchased iPhone songs on computer as well. The progress bar will show how much percentage of transfer is remaining. You can transfer it in any folder you wish.
All iPhones starting from iPhone 3GS model to iPhone 6/6 Plus, all models of iPad and all iPod models, including the iPod shuffle and iPod nano.
FonePaw iOS Transfer is available on Windows as well as Mac OS X. The software is available at a competitive price of $39.95 for Mac and Windows. However, you can download a free version as well which will allow you to transfer 30 songs at a time.
