Samsung is the world’s leading smartphone vendor: in 2017, the South Korean tech giant sold a staggering 300 million phones around the world. This is a truly huge statistic and its flagship “Galaxy S” series is a big reason that the manufacturer is so globally adored.
The S9 was a truly popular phone that delighted users for many years. Now, the Samsung Galaxy S10 is just around the corner. Anticipation is reaching fever pitch and as the date draws closer, the number of leaks and rumors continues to increase.
This anticipation is all a big part of the fun, and to help keep you in the loop here is a closer look at some of the hottest Samsung Galaxy S10 leaks and rumors.
If you’re already dreaming of Galaxy S10 plus cases, you’ll be looking at a variety of sizes. Apparently, there are going to be three models of the phone: Standard, Plus, and E.
As you can imagine, the size of each device is going to vary according to its name. The standard model is rumored to have a 6.1-inch display, while the Plus could have a larger 6.4-inch display. The lite could have a 5.8-inch display.
We are still waiting for confirmation on these details, which is going to come on February 20 at the official launch event. The variety in sizes is intriguing, and it means that Samsung will be covering all the market.
A Huge Storage Capacity
With all of the apps, selfies, and high-quality videos on our devices these days, it can become a struggle to maintain a balance when it comes to storage. Users around the world are often frustrated with cloud services which can be a little complicated and inconsistent.
Samsung could be looking to change the game and delight smartphone users with a rumored 1TB of storage! This is the equivalent of 260 10-minute videos at 4K. If this type of storage is indeed present, then owners can look forward to making the most of the powerful cameras on the device without having to worry about storage.
A Large Number of Cameras
There is still a lack of clarity about just what the S10 will offer in terms of cameras. Apparently there could be four cameras on the back and two on the front – on the plus model at least. This all needs to be confirmed, but if you are a person who loves to take photographs and video on your smartphone, this could be a real game changer.
The front-facing cameras are apparently going to be located within a small circular area on the front of the display. The design is intriguing, and it will be interesting to see if there is any level of truth in the various prototype leaks that have come out in recent months.
The Headphone Jack Remains
If you haven’t quite gotten your head around the missing 3.5mm headphone jack just yet, don’t worry. Apparently, all signs are suggesting that the S10 is going to keep the headphone jack for now. This will have some groups rejoicing for sure, given that they will be able to charge their phone while listening to music without having to invest in an expensive splitter.
If the rumors are true, this could be the most expensive flagship offering from Samsung yet. It will apparently be more expensive than the S9, so some customers may want to explore the Lite option of the phone to protect their wallets while getting the most from the latest Samsung release.
The Galaxy Flex?
While this rumor isn’t related specifically to the S10, it is an interesting one that could tell us more about where the future of smartphones is headed. Apparently, there are rumors that Samsung may unveil its first foldable phone. This has been referred to as the Galaxy Flex, and it could be an interesting option for those people looking for the next interesting innovation.
Find Out on February 20
The launch event for the new phone has been confirmed. It is going to take place in San Francisco on February 20, so we don’t have long left to wait!
The event will be streamed online, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated with the latest specifications and details as they emerge!
