The pulling power of NBA legend LeBron James should never be underestimated. When the Los Angeles Lakers man speaks or communicates via his social media channels, the world listens, and it appears that interest goes way beyond anything the 18-time NBA All-Star pick has to say about basketball.

LeBron is no doubt keen to talk about anything other than basketball right now. His Los Angeles Lakers team, who were backed by pretty much every sports odds website to go long into the post-season picture, ended the regular season with an appalling 33-49 record that meant that they didn’t even qualify for the play-in tournament.

However, it should be noted that the 37-year-old Lakers star did manage to impress on a purely personal level, finishing the regular season with a PPG average of 30.3, placing him second on the league list behind Joel Embiid.

In other words, LeBron James isn’t to blame for the Lakers’ woeful season but is clearly a key part in helping the Crypto.com Arena team back to where they should be. That said, the NBA star may well be happy to be taking a break from the game on account of not having any post-season action to take part in (for only the second time since 2006).

The influential took this opportunity to run a Twitter Q&A that went far beyond his basketball career and thoughts on the game. At one juncture in the very entertaining series of tweets, he revealed his preference for a gaming console to be the Nintendo 64 over the GameCube.

By all accounts, the debate over the two systems is one that has raged for years, and LeBron James is very much in the right age group to discuss the matter as he would have been around 14 when the N64 was released.

Other interesting questions from the Q&A include the following.

Q: “If you had to choose one teammate (past or present) in a 2v2 to play against MJ and Scottie Pippen, who are you choosing?”

To which LeBron replied

A: “Kobe (Bryant), KD (Kevin Durant), or Kyrie (Irving)”

Q: “Toughest moment of your career, and how did you get through it?”

A: “Losing in the finals to Dallas after playing like shit!! I hit the reset button, went back to the basics, and worked on things in my game I needed to get better at so the defense couldn’t just sit on one thing. Hours & hours & hours every day in the off-season on it.”

Q: “What’s been your favorite book to read as an adult or even as a child?”

A: “The Alchemist”

And from NFL legend Tom Brady;

Q: “You and me, five rounds, ice hockey shootout, who wins?”

A: “Me but barely. May be swinging from my knees though.”

The Q&A proved very successful, with over 31,000 comments raining in following LeBron’s call out to his over 51 million Twitter followers.
