As the first step, go ahead to the website of Wondershare dr.foneand download the tool. When you install and open the program, you will see the fully-fledged interface of dr.fone.
Just so you know, Wondershare has used a modular structure for this program. it means that you can include more features or utilities by downloading them. For now, however, click on the Recover button.
In this step, you have to connect your phone, and Wondershare dr.fone will ask you to enable USB Debugging in the device. To do that, go to Settings à Developer Options and tick the USB Debugging option.
In case Developer Options isn’t enabled, you can go to Settings à About Phone and tap on the Build Number for 7 times. After that, just follow the process mentioned above. This will allow dr.fone to interact.
If you are successful with the previous step, you will see a window like shown in the screenshot. As you can guess, it asks you the type of data you want to recover. In this photo, multiple options have been selected.
In our case, however, you can simply check the option named WhatsApp messages and attachments. Click on the Next button to continue the recovery process.
In this step, you have to select the desired type of scanning. It basically depends on how effective the scan is to be. If you want to search for deleted files, you can click on the mode.
On the other hand, if you need an overview-level recovery, you can go for the other option. In this case, we have chosen the first option, which is easy and less time-consuming.
Click Next to continue with the scanning process.
Make sure you keep the Android phone connected to the computer while the recovery process is going on. Depending on the amount of data you have deleted, the process may take some time.
Once the scanning is done, you can see a fully-fledged window that lists every type of data that can be saved from the device.
In this step, you can preview the files you want and select them. Once you have decided the files you want to recover, press the Recover button to proceed.
