How To Fix High Memory Usage On Windows 10 Computer

Fix 1: Close Some Programs
If the high memory usage is caused by many programs which are running simultaneously, users could try to solve the problem by closing some unnecessary programs. Open Task Manager and then right click the application you want to end up under Processes and choose End task.
Fix 2: Disable Superfetch Service

Press “Windows + R” and then type “regedit” to open Registry Editor.
Then Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Session Manager > Memory Management.
Find ClearPageFileAtShutDown, right–click it to modify its value to 1, then click OK.
