Employees need to know what is expected of them so they can work toward those goals. They might need to do a little training to enhance their skills or ask for help to use new software. A good leader will help them make an action plan on how to reach these goals in the desired time period. The goals should be smart – specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and within a time frame. 

Employees can trust them

Employees should feel comfortable communicating with their leader. They might need to share some personal news or address an issue in the workplace. A leader needs to be trustworthy and should care about each employee as a person. 

Provides constant feedback

It’s important to make the team feel valued at work. Valued team members will often have high job satisfaction, productivity and efficiency. The suppliers, advisors and partners should also feel appreciated within the organisation. You could thank them for their job, provide feedback or offer skills coaching.
