Cymat Technologies Expands Product Line; Announces Plans To Launch SmartShieldTM panels
Cymat Technologies, Ltd. (CYMHF), an innovative materials technology corporation based in Mississauga, Ontario, has announced plans to expand its product line later this summer with new SmartShieldTM architectural panels designed specifically for blast mitigation.
Designed to reduce the harshness of noise and vibration, the SmartShieldTM blast panels can be incorporated into wall and flooring systems and act as an effective deterrent, protecting against blasts and bombings.
As part of the development process, Cymat Technologies contracted a world leading third party test facility to characterize SmartShield™ and its ability to attenuate high speed blast impulses. The test matrix included 20 blast events encompassing a range of thicknesses and densities of Cymat’s SmartShield™ material. Each blast event demonstrated SmartShield™ is strain rate insensitive.
In addition to the SmartShield™ panels, Cymat Technologies is also getting ready to launch a premium version of its AlusionTM brand product, AlusionTM Plus, this summer. AlusionTM Plus will be manufactured from a new aluminum alloy and will provide enhanced material characteristics and aesthetics. When available, building designers and architects will have the option of choosing both panels to incorporate into their projects.
Cymat Technologies’ Alusion™ products are strong, sturdy and aesthetically pleasing and provide noise reduction and protection against the elements. Plus, they’re non-combustible and 100 percent recyclable.
Since Alusion™ was introduced, it’s been included in the design, construction and renovation of several internationally prominent buildings, including EarthCam’s World Headquarters in New Jersey and the Caixa Forum Sevilla in Spain (ArchDaily 2018 Building of the Year).
Providing clients the opportunity to learn more about its AlusionTM division and other Cymat Technologies products and services, the company has recently launched its re-designed corporate website, http://www.cymat.com/. The new website also offers shareholders and potential investors a better understanding of the company’s business and vision.
Further expanding Cymat Technologies’ inclusion in the global market is a strategic agreement with a distributor in China which has led to an ongoing pipeline of new orders; and a joint venture with Alucoil SA in Spain, which will aim to refine the industrialization of aluminum sandwich panels, using Cymat Technologies’ Stabilized Aluminum Foam as the panel core. The full-scale production facility is projected to have a targeted annual output capacity of 500,000 m2.
