2008

2009

In Jan 2009, Satoshi was the first one to create 50 BTCs with the help of the technology known as Blockchain. These were the early Bitcoins developed through the mining process. However, these BTCs were never used anywhere. Hence these 50 Bitcoins never came out in the market or were spent for anything. In the first Bitcoin transaction, Nakamoto was seen sending 10 BTCs to a computer scientist – H Finney and then remained the early adopter of the currency. 2010

The Bitcoin trading journey started in 2010 when the currency’s value was too low. First, it was around 0.0008 USD. Then the same year, the currency’s value went to about 0.83 USD in December. 

2011

The year brought other currencies like Litecoin, which came as an alternative to the popularity of Bitcoin. It came as an online transaction between a few people and the top e-commerce companies that provided the transactions in BTC for their services. 

2012

The year gave an excellent value to Bitcoin, which touched around 250 USD. It came with a new yardstick of measurement known as mBTC or milliBitcoins, Satoshis and BTC. These are known as milli-Bitcoins and Micro Bitcoins, which are self-explanatory. 

2013

The year was big for BTC, as, by the end of 2013, the currency’s value reached its highest point, stopping at 1164 USD.

2014

The Bitcoin price went down this year, reaching around 760 USD. 

2015

It came with extreme volatility in terms of price, causing the dropping of the currency from 760 USD to 314 USD, giving a massive 241% loss.

2016

It was a game-changer year for the crypto market; even the BTC prices went to around 433 USD, then it touched 959 USD. As a result, Bitcoin came with a good boost of 121% in its value. 

2017

The year witnessed the currency crossing the 1K mark, and the same year, the top banking company JP Morgan CEO J Dimon, called BTC a big fraud. At this time, we saw the currency reaching 20K USD.

2018

We saw the currency crashing once again, reaching 32K USD. The loss was around 625%. 

2019

The year BTC went to around 3.1K USD, while in mid-June of the same year, it went on touch around 10K USD going beyond expectations. 

2020

The year bounced back Bitcoin to around 18K USD by 23rd November. It came along in Bitcoin, and the growth was massive, reaching 224%, and it went on to boost to give you around the same year in 2020. 

2021

It was a roller coaster year for Bitcoin. First, it grew in March and April, reaching 40K USD. After going to 60K plus currency, the coin went down by 50%, leading to 30K USD. It came down and again went up since August came. By November of the same year, it had almost touched 70K USD. 2022
